Henry Lee Bailey Obituary

Henry Lee Bailey, known to many as “Henny,” was born on November 30, 1959 to the late William Bailey, Sr. and Bettie Bailey. He departed this life on Sunday, March 10, 2024.


Henry was educated in the public schools of Accomack County. Throughout his life, he worked in many industries, including Perdue, McDonalds and was self-employed in yard work.


Henry accepted Jesus Christ at an early age and was a member of Shiloh Baptist Church. In his spare time, he enjoyed walking, cooking, and being the life of the party. Henry was also always available to lend a helping hand to anyone in need.


In addition to his parents, Henry was predeceased by his brother, Alvin Bailey; grandparents, George Davis, Sr., Fannie Collins, Berline Bailey, and John William Bailey; brother-in-law, Alfred Howard, Jr.; sister-in-law, Sandra Bailey; and several aunts and uncles.


Henry leaves to cherish his memory his sisters, Sally Bailey and Betty Howard; brother, William Bailey, Jr.; sister-in-love, Hariett Cypress; aunts, Bonnie Collins, Bernadette (William) Diggs, Vanessa Davis, and Denise Brown; uncles, Michael Davis, Everett (Stacy) Collins, and Elmer (Katrina) Collins; great-aunt, Georgia Hatton; nieces, Antoinette Seymore, Sherika Seymore, Keshanna (Antwone) Sears, and Alexis Wilkins; nephew, Alfred Howard; eleven great nieces and nephews, Jakobe, Jaxon, Jayshawn, Jatavius, Jy’Air, Ja’Leir, Morris, Aydin, Austin, Amariah, and Khalia; and a host of other relatives and friends.
