In Loving Memory of June Alexandra Skidmore

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our mother, June Alexandra Murray/Skidmore on the 9th of March 2024. She passed peacefully and quickly at the Peterborough Regional Health Centre.

Beloved wife of the late Robert Skidmore. Loving mother of Victoria (Wayne) Chaisson, Jo-Anne (Barry) Murphy, Robert (Yvonne) Skidmore, Steven (Sandra) Skidmore, Lauren (Hugh) Read. Loving grandmother of Jamie (Louise) Murphy, Lauren Chaisson, Alyzia (Jansen) Anderson, Adam ( Meagan) Walsh, Natasha (Carlos) Skidmore-Einsfeid, and Athena (Eric) Mills. Loving great grandmother of Samantha, Caitlyn, Mallory, Amber, Eilidh, Logan, Aoibhlinn, Griffin, Jasmine, Madison, Isabel, Owen, and Norah.

June was a feisty lady who loved her family fiercely. She was a passionate quilter, bridge player and loved to hook primitive rugs for her family. June worked on many different levels of government elections, canvassed for the Heart and Stroke Foundation and was an active member of the Merigomish Presbyterian Church.

We cannot say goodbye to our mother without mentioning her love for all animals. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to your local Humane Society. Celebration of Life will happen after the graveside service
