John E. Nadeau, 81, of Broad Brook, passed away on Monday, March 11, 2024 at home. Born in Edmundston, New Brunswick, Canada on February 16, 1943, he was the son of the late Emile and Evelyn (Caron) Nadeau and grew up in Lac Baker, New Brunswick before moving to Broad Brook. He married Madeline Matulis in 1964 and they enjoyed 47 years of marriage until her passing in 2012. John worked as a mechanic and machinist for many years before retiring. He is survived by his 2 daughters, Christine LeBlanc and her husband Joe, and Bernadette Nadeau, all of Broad Brook; his granddaughter, Ashley Beals; and siblings Marina Nadeau, Marthe Bouley, Solange Boulay, Reynelde Stanley and Rinette Pelletier. Besides his wife, he was predeceased by his sisters, Emilienne Nadeau and Rachel Norris. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Thursday, March 21, at 10 AM at St. Catherine's Church with burial in St. Catherine's Cemetery, all in Broad Brook.
