<p>Funeral services honoring the life of Billie Ann Wells Wilson will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, March 16, 2024 at Pisgah Baptist Church, 1420 Pisgah Church Loop, Florien, LA 71429 with Pastor CM Kelly officiating. Burial to follow at Pisgah Baptist Church Cemetery.</p><p>A visitation will be held at Pisgah Baptist Church from 10:00 am until time of service.</p><p><br></p><p>Billie was born on March 11, 1940 to her parents Mary and Wilmer Wells in Toro, LA. She passed away peacefully surrounded by family on March 11, 2024. Upon graduation from Pisgah High School, Billie enlisted in the U.S. Army. After serving for several years she married and became a full time Mom. She would eventually enter college to become a registered nurse. A career that brought her much joy for over 40 years at several area hospitals. Billie enjoyed gardening, raising cattle, goats, chickens, hosting holiday gatherings and going to church. She enjoyed year after year watching the flowers bloom across the ranch.</p><p><br></p><p>Billie was a lifelong resident of Toro, LA. She was preceded in death by her parents, one son, Henry and one grandchild, Nathan, two brothers, Theodore and McConathy (Judy) and one sister Peggy Werts (Kenneth).</p><p><br></p><p>Those left to cherish her memory are her two sons, Brian (Laura) of Terrell, TX and Russell of Anacoco, LA, grandchildren William (Felicia), Victoria, Michael, Amanda (Andrew), Teresa and Jacob, great grandchildren, Caden, Dewayne, Noah, John and Jackson, and lifelong best friend and cousin Joy Lynn Brown and a host of nieces and nephews.</p><p><br></p><p>Pallbearers will be William Wilson, Michael Wilson, Jacob Wilson, Andrew Hearn, Doug McNeely and Stan McNeely.</p><p><br></p>
