Tupelo-Brenda Kay McGregor Franklin passed away at 2:51 am on Tuesday, March 12, 2024 at her Tupelo residence. Brenda Kay was born on March 19, 1948 in Pontotoc Co to the late Lesley McGregor and Opal Ard McGregor. She married her high school sweetheart, James P. Franklin on June 6, 1965. She was a retired elementary schoolteacher. Brenda Kay loved the Lord all her life, sang in the choir for years, played the piano, and was a church pianist in MS, AR, and OH.

A service celebrating her life will be held at 2 PM Thursday, March 14, 2024 in the Sadie Holland Memorial Chapel at Holland Funeral Directors-Tupelo with her cousin, Bro.

Dwain Ard officiating. Burial will follow in Guinn Cemetery in Pontotoc Co. Visitation will be from Noon-service time on Thursday only at Holland-Tupelo Chapel, which is honored to be serving their friends. Brenda Kay leaves behind her husband, James Franklin (Sonny), one daughter, Kristi Wright, one son, Keith Franklin (Lisa), and one brother Keith McGregor, 8 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Lesley (Dock) and Opal McGregor, her sister Kallie Sue McGregor, and her brother Kermit McGregor.

Pallbearers will be Justin Wright, Jacob Wright, Matt Mattox, Clay Mejias, Keith Franklin Jr., Cohen Franklin, CJ Doss and Alex Boland. Condolences may be e mailed to hollandfuneraldirectors@comcast.net
