Nina Gail Sims Obituary

Nina Gail Sims, 70, of Connersville passed away Monday afternoon, March 11, 2024 at Reid Health, Richmond after battling several illnesses for many years.


One of seven children of Paul Plummer and Loretta Mae Bastin Wildridge, Nina was born in Connersville on July 18, 1953.


She was employed at J and J Packing for 12 years and in her free time, she really enjoyed the simple pleasures of life. Taking leisurely walks, playing her favorite games on her iPad, having long chats on the telephone, and cherishing precious moments with her family were the things that brought her the most joy.


Survivors include a daughter, Bobbi Jo (Brandon) Huber of Connersville; a son, Billy Joe (Christy) Redd of Connersville; seven grandchildren; Jordan Redd, Jacob Riley Redd, Chandler Redd, Zackary Redd, Nicholas (Emily) Huber, Natalee (Rich) Hart, Nevin (Tabby) Huber; four great-grandchildren, Rosey, Jasper, Hunter, and Remington Huber; three sisters, Laura Hicks of Oregon, Beverly (Charlie) Flynn and Stella Adams, all of Connersville; a brother, Paul (Anita) Wildridge of Liberty; Nina’s best friends, Vickie Miller, Connie Keller, and Vickie Grizell; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.


Nina was preceded in death by her parents; and a brother, James Ralph Wildridge; a sister, Nancy Cuppy; three brothers-in-law, Larry Cuppy, Dave Adams, and Noel Hicks; and a nephew, Junior Snoddy.


Family and friends may visit from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, March 18, 2024 at Miller, Moster, Robbins Funeral Home. Pastor Eric Hickman will officiate. Burial will follow in Village Creek Cemetery.
