Raymond A. Parrella

Raymond A. Parrella, 88, of Poughkeepsie, NY passed away on March 11, 2024 at The Pines of Poughkeepsie, NY. Born June 20, 1935 in Poughkeepsie, NY to Faustino and Consiglia DeNisco Parrella. He married Connie Riano on September 29, 1956 in Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church in Poughkeepsie. Connie survives at home.

Raymond was employed by IBM in E. Fishkill, NY as a Tool Grinder. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his brother Joe. He was an avid model train enthusiast with his brother Joe. Ray was an excellent woodworker and inventor.

Survivors include his daughters: Mary Pesacreta of Poughkeepsie, NY, and Lori (Tim) Considine of Highland, NY. Grandchildren include Mara, Sam, and Celeste. Tere are several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a daughter: Dawn Marie Parrella; son-in-law: George Pesacreta; 3 brothers and 1 sister.

There are no calling hours. A Mass of Christian Burial will held Friday, March 15, 2024 at 10AM in Holy Trinity Church, 775 Main St., Poughkeepsie, NY 12603. Burial will follow in the family plot in St. Peter’s Cemetery. Memorial Donations may be made to: St. Jude’s Hospital, 501 St. Jude’s Place, Memphis, TN. 38105.
