Dennis K. McCreary

<p>Dennis K. McCreary, 72, of Lock Haven, passed away on Monday, March 11, 2024, at Lock Haven Rehabilitation and Senior Living in Lock Haven. Born on July 17, 1951, in Harrisburg, he was the son of the late Richard and Ruby (Bowers) McCreary. He married his beloved wife, Karen (Hoy) McCreary, who survives him at home after sharing 26 years of marriage together. </p><p><br></p><p>He graduated from Juniata College with his bachelor’s degree. He worked as a Chemist in research and development for Alltech Applied Science for many years before taking a position at W.R. Grace &amp; Co. He remained there until his retirement in 2015. </p><p><br></p><p>In addition to his wife, Karen, he is survived by his six children: Kathy McGee, Denise Coleman, Colleen Doggett, Faith Allen, Candance Spicher, and Spencer Grove, and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. </p><p><br></p><p>Along with his parents, Richard and Ruby, he was predeceased by a brother, Michael McCreary. </p><p><br></p><p>Dennis will be remembered by many for his very social and outgoing personality. Regardless of where he was at, he always seemed to be able to strike up a conversation. He enjoyed dancing and having a cold drink, especially his favorite cocktail – a Black Russian.</p><p><br></p><p>Funeral services and burial will be private at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are under the direction of Wetzler Funeral Service, Inc. in Bellefonte. </p>

Dennis K. McCreary, 72, of Lock Haven, passed away on Monday, March 11, 2024, at Lock Haven Rehabilitation and Senior Living in Lock Haven. Born on July 17, 1951, in Harrisburg, he was the son of the late Richard and Ruby (Bowers) McCreary. He married his beloved wife, Karen (Hoy) McCreary, who survives him at home after sharing 26 years of marriage together.
