Timothy Scott Adams

<p>Timothy Scott Adams passed peacefully in his sleep March 9, 2024, at the age of 60. Scott was raised in Winnsboro, TX where he was a beloved member of the community. He was born to Eddy and Linda on June 25, 1963, in Tyler, TX.</p><p><br></p><p>Scott was a dedicated servant to his community throughout his life. He bravely served in the United States Marine Corps with an artillery unit, and later at Spur On Ministries where he served the congregation in more ways than can be listed. Scott was also an achieved truck driver for many years.</p><p><br></p><p>Scott drove a truck in order to fuel his real passion, which was riding his Harley Davidson. He loved to partake in annual rallies, charity rides, and anyone who would listen knew that riding those bikes was his “happy place.” His other passions included helping around Spur On and partaking in worship and fellowship. Scott was also an excellent cook and would often joke about starting a “Desperado’s Kitchen” restaurant. However, with all of his other passions, family and spending time together with his loved ones was made a priority. Scott always had a positive attitude that brought a room together, some wisdom to share, and usually something mildly inappropriate to say, putting everyone into stitches. </p><p><br></p><p>Scott is survived by his mother, Linda Newman and her husband Steve; brother, Shane Adams and wife Ruth; sons, Autry Adams and wife Erin; Aaron Adams and fiancé Kristen. He is also survived by two granddaughters Ella and Ireland, who were his pride and joy and know him as Papaw.</p><p><br></p><p>He is proceeded in death by his father Eddy Merle Adams, and grandparents Tom and Francis Kennemer, and Grandma and Grandpa Adams.</p><p><br></p><p>A service of celebration will be held at 5:00 p.m., Friday, March 15th at Spur On Ministries, 2670 State Hwy. 37 in Mineola. Following the service everyone is invited for food and fellowship.</p><p><br></p><p>In celebration of his life we, the family, wish that in lieu of flowers or gifts, a financial gift towards the expansion of Spur On Ministries would be sent to:</p><p>2670 State Highway 37 </p><p>Mineola, TX 75773.</p>
