Leroy A. Jackson Jr., affectionately known as “Pop” was born on Tuesday, October 3, 1950, in Harrisburg PA. Son of the late Leroy Sr. and Betty Jackson.

Leroy attended William Penn Vo-Tech High School. He later joined Pinnacle Health Systems where he later retired after 25+ years. Among Leroy’s favorite pastimes he enjoyed going fishing by himself and with friends and family at the Susquehanna river. He also loved watching his favorite football team, The Indianapolis Colts, listening to old school music, and watching the discovery channel. Leroy was a very humble and laid-back kind of man, whom everyone loved that came in contact with him throughout his life.

On Wednesday, March 6, 2024, at 73 years of age, Leory A. Jackson Jr., transitioned from this life into eternal life. Preceded in death by his parents, his brothers Robert, Kenneth and Lammie B. Jackson, his sister, Cathrine Jackson and his favorite cousin James “Jim” Black all of Harrisburg.

Leroy leaves loving memories and his love to his wife of 37 years, Donna Marie Jackson; his sons, Leroy A. III and Brent Jackson; his daughters, Melina Jackson, Geisha Jackson, and Ronitta Chislom; 9 grandchildren, and one great grandson; brothers, Stewart and Preston Jackson; sisters, Theresa Smith and Barbara Jackson and a host of nieces and nephews.

A tribute to his life will be held on Friday, March 15, 2024, at 11:00 AM at the Matinchek Funeral Home and Cremation Services Inc., Middletown. Viewing will be from 10:00 AM until the time of services, Friday at the funeral home.

Burial will be in the Middletown Cemetery, Middletown.
