Eugene "Gino" V. Black

<p>Eugene V. "Gino" Black, 91, passed away March 1, 2024 in his home. He was born to Leonard and Yolanda (Mauro) Black on July 4, 1932 in Monessen, Pennsylvania. He married Nancy Von Buskirk on February 27, 1980 and she survives.</p><p><br></p><p>His father signed for him to&nbsp; enlist in the Army when he was 16. He was very proud of his Army Service and serving in Korea. After working as a truck driver for five years, he went on to drive a bus for Santa Monica for twenty years. He loved driving a bus and he loved the beach. He lived and breathed vitamins and supplements and lifting weights. He belonged to Golds Gym for many years and was Mr. Maryland in 1964. He missed the beach after moving to Indiana.<br></p><p><br></p><p>Gino is survived by his wife of 44 years; brother Calvin Black, Sherri (Ian) Blair, sister-in-law, nephew James Blair and niece Jennifer Evans. He is preceded in death by his parents, siblings Margaret Black and Russell Black.</p><p><br></p><p>Private graveside services will be held. Armes-Hunt Life Celebration Funeral Home and Cremation Services College Park Chapel at 4601 South Western Avenue Marion, Indiana 46953 has been entrusted with the arrangements. Eugene V. "Gino" Black, 91, passed away March 1, 2024 in his home. He was born to Leonard and Yolanda (Mauro) Black on July 4, 1932 in Monessen, Pennsylvania. He married Nancy Von Buskirk on February 27, 1980 and she survives.


His father signed for him to  enlist in the Army when he was 16. He was very proud of his Army Service and serving in Korea.
