Donald Joseph Wagberg, 89, of Stephenson, Mich. passed away on Saturday, March 9, 2024 at Roubal Care and Rehab Center in Stephenson. He was born June 16, 1934 in Burlington, Wis to the late Herbert and Lillian (Tasquin) Wagberg. Don graduated from Stephenson High School, Class of 1951. Following high school graduation, Don enlisted in the United States Army where he served his Country proudly from 1957-1958 when he was honorably discharged. On October 24, 1959 Don married the former Paula Gruenstern in Daggett, Mich. Don worked at Ansul/Specialty Chem from 1967 until his retirement in 1998.

Don enjoyed fishing, hunting, bowling, wintering in Arizona and was an avid Detroit sports fan. He loved his garden and enjoyed selling his produce at the local farmer’s market.

Don is survived by his wife Paula; son Peter (Kim) Wagberg of Wentzville, MO; 2 grandsons Joshua and Jacob; 8 great-grandchildren Hanley, Ryder, Willow, Harper, Kennedy, Athena, Rosalie and Killian; brother Warren (Irene) Wagberg and sister MaryAnn (Bill) Rivard along with many nieces and nephews.

Don was preceded in death by a daughter Nancy Starzynski and grandson Jordan Wagberg.

Visitation for Don will be held at Anderson-Diehm Funeral Home on Friday March 15, 2024 from 3:00 pm until time of Military Honors at 5:00 pm followed by a funeral service with Deacon Tom Rivard officiating. Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery, Oakwood.
