JAMES KEENO SUMMERS

JAMES KEENO SUMMERS, age 50, of Columbus, Ohio, passed away on Saturday, March 9, 2024, in Chillicothe, Ohio. James was born on Sunday, April 15, 1973, in Columbus, Ohio. He was a student at Ohio Avenue for his early education and later, graduated from Centennial High School. He was baptized, at an early age, at Rehoboth Temple Church in Columbus, Ohio.

James, affectionately called by his middle name Keeno, was a beloved comedian with a knack for making everyone laugh. He cherished sharing stories, especially about his carefree childhood days. One of his favorite jokes was asking, “What size shoe do you wear?” A question that never failed to bring laughter to his family.

James was preceded in death by his mother, Linda K. Summers-Edward; grandmother, Ethel Blackwell; and grandfather, William Summers.

He is survived by his long-time girlfriend, Christy Keck; his children, Deshawn Crockett and Janai K. Summers; grandson, Jaxon K. Summers; sisters, Martisha S. Summers and Andrena F. Summers; brother, Kwan D. Summers, all of Columbus, Ohio; and many other family members and dear friends.
