<p>We are saddened to announce the passing of Victor J. Walker, aged 84. Victor peacefully departed on March 4, 2024, in Colorado Springs. He was born in Petersburg, Nebraska.</p><p><br></p><p>Victor proudly served in the Air Force as an aircraft mechanic, retiring with the rank of Master Sergeant. Throughout his military tenure, he garnered numerous honors and awards, relishing his adventures across the globe. Following retirement, Victor continued his craft as an aircraft mechanic in a civil servant capacity at Peterson Air Force Base. </p><p><br></p><p>Beyond his passion for planes, Victor found joy in tractors, automotive tinkering, and country music. </p><p>Victor is survived by his devoted wife of 48 years, Violet; sons Dana Castle (Dawn) and David Walker (Rebecca); cherished grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and dear friends. </p><p><br></p><p>Victor is preceded in death by his parents, siblings, and son Stephen Castle.</p><p><br></p><p>Family and friends are cordially invited to a celebration of Victor's life, to be held at Evergreen Funeral Home on March 19, 2024. Visitation will be from 10:30 am to 11:30 am, with the service promptly starting at 11:30am. Military honors will be rendered at Pikes Peak National Cemetery at 1pm. </p><p><br></p><p>Victor’s family graciously invites attendees to join them for a reception at Evergreen Funeral Home following the graveside honor service.</p><p><br></p>
