<p>April S. Kennedy died early Friday morning, March 8, 2024. She would have turned 80 in April.</p><p><br></p><p>April was born on April 6, 1944, in Twin Falls to Sarice and Amos Human. She spent the biggest share of her early life in Hazelton, Idaho. She was the oldest girl with one older brother, Dennis, a younger sister, Debra and a younger brother, Brad. April is preceded in death by her parents and older brother, Dennis. Debra and Brad remain in Hazelton. She was a wonderful aunt to many nieces and nephews.</p><p><br></p><p>April graduated from Valley High School in 1963, after which she went to Salt Lake City for business school. This is where she met her future husband. John Kennedy.</p><p><br></p><p>They were married on March 6, 1965, and had just celebrated their 59th anniversary.</p><p><br></p><p>April was always trying new things. She spent 10 years working at Bank of Idaho all the while keeping up a showcase flower garden. She definitely had a green thumb when it came to her flowers. She was also a self-taught artist and painted in many different mediums, from oil, tole, watercolors and everything in between.</p><p><br></p><p>April and John spent many years trap shooting at different venues on the Prairie and around the Lewiston-Clarkston Valley making new friends wherever they went.</p><p><br></p><p>April and John spent most of their married life in Lewiston with a three-year break when they lived in Grangeville and multiple trips to the coast for vacations. April loved the times they spent on the coast with her family.</p><p><br></p><p>April was known as the “card lady” as she spent 12 years working for American Greetings. She loved talking to new people and her great, quirky sense of humor will be missed by all who knew her.</p><p><br></p><p>Services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, March 15, at Mountain View Funeral Home, 3521 Seventh St., Lewiston.</p>
