Anna Mae Bensel

<p>Anna Mae Bensel, 81, passed away on Sunday, March 10, 2024 after a brief illness. She was a lifelong resident of Absecon Highlands in Galloway Township. She received bachelor and master of arts degrees from Glassboro State College. Anna Mae co-owned the White Manor Inn Bed and Breakfast in Galloway with her brother Howard. She was a faith-filled woman and active member of Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton parish. Anna Mae enjoyed helping others, baking, gardening and hosting family holiday dinners.</p><p>She was predeceased by her parents, Howard Russell Sr. and Anna (Conlon) Bensel, her sister Mary Gertrude and her brother Howard. She was survived by her brother John (Sue) Bensel Sr., her sister Marian Tozer, her niece Kathleen Bensel, her nephews John (Jacki) Bensel Jr. and Dale Tozer, great niece Caitlin, great nephew Joshua and many loving cousins and cherished friends.</p><p><br></p><p>Visitation for family and friends will be on Thursday, March 14, 2024, from 10 to 11 a.m. at Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, 591 New Jersey Avenue, Absecon, NJ followed by a mass of Christian burial. Interment will then follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, 5061 Harding Highway, Mays Landing, NJ.</p><p><br></p><p> In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to St Jude's or Catholic Relief Services.</p>
