<p>Joyce E. Comiskey passed on March 9, 2024, after a long battle with progressive dementia. She lived 91 years. She was born May 6, 1932, in Poughkeepsie, NY, and lived most of her life in her cherished home town of Croton-on-Hudson.</p><p><br></p><p>Her life, prior to dementia, was a tapestry of love, laughter, and devotion to her family. She married Joseph F. Comiskey in 1953 and together they raised 4 children. She was pre-deceased by her beloved husband in 2004 and by her son, Joel, in 2016.</p><p><br></p><p>Joyce was a woman of great strength, integrity, and immense warmth. She was a homemaker extraordinaire and poured her creativity, intelligence and passion into caring for her family and friends. She never failed to put a smile on someone’s face with a beautiful handmade quilt or a tasty box of chocolates. Her interests included crafting, playing bridge, gardening, swimming, cooking, walking, traveling and going to the Opera.</p><p><br></p><p>Joyce is survived by her 3 children, Joseph “Jay” Comiskey (Heidi), Joy-Ann Comiskey (Ronaldo Wagner) and JaneAnn Comiskey, her 7 grandchildren, Christopher Comiskey, Gregory Comiskey, Michael Comiskey (Evy), Matthew Comiskey, Sean Skillman, Connor Skillman, and Courtney Skillman (Dustin Hawks), She is also survived by 4 great grandchildren, Samantha Comiskey, Gabriel Comiskey, Kieran Hawks and Maisie Hawks, as well as many nieces, nephews and friends.</p><p><br></p><p>Donations in her memory may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association (www.alz.org).</p>
