Memorial services for LeAnn Spangler age 77 of Beemer, NE will be held on Wednesday, March 13, 2024 at 10:30 a.m. at St. John's Lutheran Church in Beemer, NE with Pastor Michael Belinsky officiating. Private family interment will be in the Beemer Cemetery with a luncheon at the Beemer American Legion Hall. Visitation will be on Tuesday from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the church and will continue one hour prior to the service. Minnick Funeral Home in West Point is assisting the family with the arrangements. Memorials are suggested to the family for future designation in LeAnn's name to a charity of their choosing.

LeAnn passed away on Saturday, March 9, 2024 at Franciscan Healthcare in West Point, NE.

LeAnn Nedene Spangler was born on August 8, 1946 to Virgil and Minerva (Kraft) Nixon in West Point, NE. She was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith. LeAnn attended Cuming County Rural School District #7, graduated from Beemer High School in 1964, and obtained her Bachelor’s Degree in Education from Wayne State College.

On April 30, 1967, she was united in marriage to Keith Spanger at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Beemer, NE. LeAnn was a teacher for several years in area schools. She later worked at Pender Community Hospital for many years.

LeAnn was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church and its Ladies Aid. She was involved with the Beemer Community Theatre for several years and enjoyed the Cuming County Fair, helping in the rabbit barn. LeAnn and Keith enjoyed traveling, camping, and coached fast pitch softball. LeAnn loved attending all her kids and grandkids activities.
