POIRIER, Doris Joan - It is with a heavy heart that we announce the peaceful passing of Doris at Crown Ridge Place on Saturday, March, 9th, 2024, in her 90th year. Loving daughter of the late Thomas and Dorothy Fitzsimmins. Beloved wife of the late Norman Poirier. Dear mother to Pam Carleton, and Dorothy Hunter (Patrick). Devoted grandmother to Karen Pavel, Krista Rappel (Jason Casey), great-grandmother to Heather Hall (Matt), Erik Hiltz, Austin Brasier (Danielle), Griffin Casey, Phoenix Casey, and great-great grandmother to Peyton Hiltz and Estelle Brasier. Survived by her siblings Fred Fitzsimmins, Eileen Hunt (Rick), Martha Koetzle (Sigi), and James Fitzsimmins (Sharon). Also remembered by her many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her siblings Anne Fitzsimmins, Alice Booth, Helen Lanning, and Thomas Fitzsimmins. A Celebration of Doris's Life will be held at a later date. As an expression of sympathy, donations to the Humane Society or Sick Kids Hospital would be appreciated by the family.
