Gayle Heather Rae Obituary

Gayle Heather Rae (Waters)

                1942 - 2024

Born May 21, 1942, to Syd and Nora in Toronto Ontario. She was the younger sister to Gary.

During her youth the Waters family had many wonderful times at the family cottage in Muskoka Ontario. This is where she met her husband James Duncan Rae who sadly passed in October 2023, just after they celebrated their 58th wedding anniversary.

Her loss will be felt daily by daughter Melanie and her husband Adrian, son Greg and his wife Diana. She was the proud “Nana” to Nathan, Joshua, Lia (Rae) and Jordan (Robinson). They will always remember wonderful summer days at Nana & Poppa’s.

Gayle will also be remembered by sister-in-law Sue, niece Ellen and husband Adrian.

Friends are welcome to celebrate her life with the family on Wednesday March 13th from 2:00 - 4:00 and 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. at  the McKersie and Early Funeral Home, 114 Main St. E., Milton.  If desired, memorial donations may be made to the Lung Association. (Please see the donation link below)

Do not stand at my grave and weep,

I am not there, I do not sleep.

I am a thousand winds that blow;

I am the diamond glints on snow.

I am the sunlight on ripened grain;

I am the gentle autumn's rain.

When you awaken in the morning hush,

I am the soft star that shines at night.

Do not stand at my grave and cry.

I am not there; I did not die.
