<p>Harriett Ruth (Parks) Robertson, 94, Bloomington, Indiana and a former resident of Austin, Texas, passed away March 8, 2024 at the home of her caring and loving granddaughter, Brandi Robertson, who cared for her the past eighteen months.</p><p><br></p><p>Harriett was born August 25, 1929 in Lyons, Indiana, the daughter of the late Walter and Lola (Jones) Parks.</p><p><br></p><p>Harriett graduated from Austin Community College in Austin, Texas with a degree as a Registered Nurse at the age of fifty-one. She became supervising night nurse at a Mental Hospital in Austin, Texas and after retirement she was noted as having the most volunteer hours of anyone at her facility. She also served as registered nurse for the Juvenile Correction Facility in Austin, Texas. She was a longtime member of the Episcopal Church.</p><p><br></p><p>Survivors: children, Ginger Miller (Dr Robert Miller) of Solsberry, Indiana, Tama Robertson (Dr Nancy Lesko) of New York, New York, Zandra Robertson (Ginny) of New York, New York, and Ward Robertson of Bloomington, Indiana; favorite ex daughter-in-law, Debby Todd; sister-in-law, Janet Zuther; brother-in-law, Robert Musgrave; grandchildren, Dr. Dale Miller (Lori), Zackery Miller, Brandi Robertson (Joe Butler) and Westin Robertson (fmr. Erica); great grandchildren, Kasidee, Mason, Luke, Alex, Darin, Ava and Hopelynn.</p><p><br></p><p>She was preceded in death by: husband, Homer H. Robertson (August 24, 1999); her parents, Lola and Walter Parks; a half brother, Luther Parks and ten siblings to include, Thelma Manship, Earl Parks, Olive Hill, Gertrude Koon, Vivian Wilson, Max Parks, Margaret Ennis, Phillip Parks, Patsy Musgrave and JD Parks.</p><p><br></p><p>Visitation for Harriett will be after 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, March 19, 2024 at The Funeral Chapel of Powell and Deckard 3000 E. Third Street Bloomington, Indiana 47401. Funeral services will follow at 11:30 a.m. at The Funeral Chapel. Harriett Ruth (Parks) Robertson, 94, Bloomington, Indiana and a former resident of Austin, Texas, passed away March 8, 2024 at the home of her caring and loving granddaughter, Brandi Robertson, who cared for her the past eighteen months.


Harriett was born August 25, 1929 in Lyons, Indiana, the daughter of the late Walter and Lola (Jones) Parks.
