Geraldine Therese Lynch

Geraldine (Gerri) Therese Jawor Lynch, 81, passed away Wednesday, March 6, 2024 in Colorado Springs surrounded by her family. Gerri was born December 14, 1942 to her loving parents, the late Edward Theodore Jawor and Mary Frances Fitzsimmons Jawor. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt who will be greatly missed. Gerri was a very generous and kind person. She loved helping others.

After retiring from CS First Boston in New York City, she enjoyed spending time with family, she enjoyed working in her garden, she sang in her church choir and was also a religious education teacher in Eastchester, NY. In her later years, she became a Eucharistic minister. When she moved to Florida, she brought the Eucharist and companionship to parishioners in nursing homes.

Gerri was preceded in death by her loving husband, James Lynch and beloved brother, Edward Jawor. Gerri is survived by her children; Corinne (Michael) Manchisi, Kerry Rizzo, Catherine (Bill) Blake; her five grandchildren; KerryJo (Mike Scerbo) Rizzo, Michelle (Michael) Kennedy, James Manchisi, Brian (Molly) Manchisi, Cheyenne (Lucas Hart) Blake, her sisters; Frances (Brendan) Moroney, Mary (Mark) Steinberg, her brothers; Dennis (Linda) Jawor, John (Maryellen) Jawor; her sister-in-law, Tiffany Jawor. The family will receive friends for a memorial visitation on Thursday March 21, 2024 from 4 - 8 PM at the Westchester Funeral Home, Inc. A memorial mass will be celebrated on Friday March 22, 2024 at Immaculate Conception Church at 10:30 AM. Interment to follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Should family and friends desire, contributions may be sent to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
