Helen Dale Dunphy
<p>Dunphy (Davis), Helen Dale - Age 75, of Lower Onslow, passed away Wednesday morning, March 6, 2024, in Shannex Debert Court surrounded by her loving family. Born April 24, 1948, in Five Islands, she was a daughter of the late Basil Davis Sr. and Lillian Evelyn Davis.</p><p><br></p><p>Helen worked for the CIBC in Truro for more than 30 years. She enjoyed crocheting, music, and spending time with family and friends. In her spare time, she enjoyed going to community dances with her darling late husband, Wayne and socializing with the numerous friends that they had made over the years.</p><p><br></p><p>She was predeceased by her husband, Charles Wayne Dunphy of Port Greville; brother, Basil "Junior" (Linda) Davis of Five Islands; niece, Morgan Lee Davis, and nephew, Tyler Alan. </p><p><br></p><p>She is survived by her daughters, Angela Dunphy of Onslow and Shelley (Troy) Nelson of Calgary, Alberta; grandchild, Brayden Charles Dunphy; siblings, Carol Canning of Edmonton, Donna Davis of Five Islands, William (Doris) Davis of Five Islands, Debbie (Bob) Murphy of Dartmouth, Karen Davis of Oxford and many other loving nieces, nephews, and relatives. </p><p><br></p><p>In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be sent to Peniel United Church Cemetery or War Amps Canada.</p><p><br></p><p>A visitation will be held on Friday, March 15th from 1pm until time of service at 2pm, both in Peniel United Church, Five Islands, Marty Clark-Ettinger and Rev. Glenn MacLean officiating. Interment will follow in the Peniel United Church Cemetery. Well-wishers may visit with the family in the Five Islands Fire Hall following the interment.
