<p><p>Jimmy Dale Brown, 69, of Pollock, Louisiana, entered into eternal rest on March 4, 2024, in Alexandria, Louisiana. He was born March 22, 1954, in Stilwell, Oklahoma, to Arnold and Joan Southern Brown.</p><p><br></p><p>After graduating high school in 1972, Jimmy joined the United States Air Force. After many years of dedicated service, he left to be a wonderful husband of 42 years to Evelyn Brown and a loving father to Kim (Buck) Roshto and Trisha (Matthew) Austin. He was a truck driver for many of his children's younger years. Most of us know him today as the exemplary pastor for 20 plus years at Verda Church of Christ. He loved being a pastor and the congregation will miss him. Outside of preaching, he loved the outdoors, leatherworking, and being a wonderful grandparent to Jacob Austin, Jayden (Dustin) McMillian, Jenna Austin, Neil Roshto and Nolan Roshto. </p><p><br></p><p>He has made a lasting impact that will be remembered by his wife, children, grandchildren, and siblings. He leaves behind his wife Evelyn of the home; his daughters Kim (Buck) Roshto and Trisha (Matthew) Austin; his grandchildren Jacob, Jayden, Jenna, Neil and Nolan; two brothers Dennis (Terry) Brown and Dewayne (Edith) Brown and one sister Carolyn (Alvin) Workman all of Stilwell, Oklahoma. A host of nieces, nephews, friends and other relatives also survive him. </p><p><br></p><p>He was preceded in death by his parents Arnold and Joan Southern Brown; one brother Johnny Mack Brown; and one sister Mary Jane Yonker; along with his paternal grandparents Artemus and Myrtle Brown; and his maternal grandparents William Southern and Beulah and Clarence Spears. </p><p><br></p><p>His final wishes will be fulfilled and honored by his wife and family. His final resting place will be on top of the Mountain in Evansville, Arkansas.</p></p>
