Barbara J. Wentz, 96, of Connersville passed away Wednesday afternoon, March 6, 2024 at Heritage House of Connersville.

One of four children of Jesse and Nondas Voiles Bills, Barbara was born in Greensburg, Indiana on July 16, 1927 and graduated from Connersville High School.

On April 20, 1947, Barbara married Norman Wentz in East Side United Methodist Church. Mr. Wentz passed away on September 25, 2013.

For thirty years, Barbara was employed at Sears Department Store in Connersville.

Knitting was Barbara’s passion, along with sewing her own clothes. She loved to indulge in chocolate, and she had fond memories of riding motorcycles with Norman, her husband, when they were young. She was a cheerful and creative woman who enjoyed life.

Barbara will be missed by her loving family, Heidi Sizemore and family, Lori Jordan and family; and several nieces, nephews, and friends.

Besides her beloved husband of sixty-six and a half years, Norman Wentz, Barbara was preceded in death by her parents; son, Gary Duane Wentz; sister, Kamilla Jones; and two brothers, Richard and Harold Bills.

Family and friends may visit from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, March 15, 2024 at Miller, Moster, Robbins Funeral Home. Pastor Dennis Perkins will officiate. Burial will follow in Dale Cemetery.
