Mrs. Alberta (Ellison) Binkley of Newport, Arkansas, departed this life on Thursday, March 7, 2024, at the age of 94. She was born October 5, 1929, in Shoffner, the daughter of Lee Ellison and Lula (Tyler) Ellison. She was the granddaughter of Walter Tyler and Hudla King, and great-granddaughter of Julius King and Margaret Deal.

Mrs. Binkley was a hardworking woman who worked diligently as a farm worker as well as working other manual labor jobs helping to provide for her family. She was blessed in her later years to thoroughly enjoy her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and her great-great-grandchildren. She accepted Christ at an early age and was a lifelong member of the Church of Christ. She enjoyed spending time outdoors, gardening, fishing or just sitting on the porch in her later years. She also loved quilting, sewing, cooking, and traveling. Above all, she loved her family and her greatest joy came from spending time with them.

Mrs. Alberta was preceded in death by her husband, Willie Louis Binkley; a son, Jimmy Binkley; two daughters, Lucy McCoy and Janice Binkley; two sisters, Dorothy Coats and Ruby Tyler; two brothers, J.C. Armour and Ruben Tyler; her parents, Lee Ellison and Lula (Tyler) Ellison

She is survived by four sons, John Charles Binkley of Newport; Lee Binkley and wife, Janice, of Newport; Terry Binkley of Newport; James Binkley and wife Virginia, of San Diego, California; four daughters, Willie Mae Rowland of Newport; Wanda Epps and husband, Charles, of Columbia, Missouri; Della Moss and husband, Albert, of Millington, Tennessee; Becky Luster of Jackson, Tennessee; and her granddaughter, whom she raised, Alexandra Binkley,

She had 29 grandchildren, Tammy McCoy, Laverne Binkley, John McCoy, Regina McGill, Cary McCoy, Catherine Binkley, Denise Binkley, James Hayes, Yolanda Clifton, Chassity Shell, Selena Binkley, Regina McCoy, Lindsey Rowland, Rakinah Rutherford, Turay and Tyler Binkley, Jordan Hooks, Dennis Binkley (deceased), Melody McCoy (deceased), Don McCoy (deceased). Friends may visit at the funeral home Thursday, March 14, 2024, beginning at 1:00 p.m. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 p.m. at Jackson's Newport Funeral Home Chapel, with interment in Mt. Zion Cemetery.
