David R. Johnstonbaugh, 62, of Bellefonte, passed away at home surrounded by his family on Wednesday, March 6, 2024. Born on March 22, 1961, he was the son of the late John R. Johnstonbaugh and Louise (Custer) Johnstonbaugh. He is survived by his long-time companion Susan Shawley, of Bellefonte.

David was known for his construction and handy man services. He was a lifetime member of the VFW Post #1600 in Bellefonte. David enjoyed hunting, riding his motorcycle, and camping, especially in his favorite spot in Hidden Valley. Above all he enjoyed spending time with his family and grandchildren.

In addition to his companion, Sue, he is survived by his daughter, Tara Johnstonbaugh (Joe Berry) of Howard, and stepson, Russell Hockenberry of Unionville, granddaughters, Keagan Yost and Millie Berry of Howard, and two siblings, Tracy Bickle of Tyrone and Brian Johnstonbaugh (Mary Ann Young) of Spring Mills. Also surviving are numerous nieces, nephews, and great nieces and great nephews.

Burial will be private at the convenience of the family.
