Mamie Lucille Cooper Mickler Obituary

Funeral service for Mamie Lucille Cooper Mickler, 80, of Anniston, will be held at 2:00pm on Monday, March 11, 2024, at Anniston Memorial Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 1:00pm until 2:00pm at the funeral Home. Burial will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery.


She is preceded in death by her parents, Arl Paden Cooper, Sr. and Winnie Ruple Cooper; her sisters, Edna Whitworth and Mary Feazell; her brothers, Johnny Cooper, Al Cooper, Billy Cooper, Bobby Cooper, and Junior Cooper; and her grandson, Joshua Mitchell.


She leaves behind her husband, Angus Angelo Mickler, Sr.; children, Monique Cunningham, Angus Angelo Mickler Jr. (Liz), Angela Dionne Jung, Brianna Victoria Mickler, Deanna Lynn Mickler, Wayne Anthony Recla; grandchildren, Jeremy Mitchell (Brittany), Jerrod Mitchell, Demi Cunningham, Joshua Mickler, Makenna Mickler, Addison Mickler, Keenan Jung, Noah Collins, Kendyl Collins, Blake McGuffie, Victoria Hazelwood (Cameron), and Devon Downs; great grandchildren, Jasmine Gray, Leacia Gray, Kyleigh Mitchell, Ryleigh Mitchell, Ian Mitchell, Rayleigh Mitchell, Jagger Mitchell, Brinlee Mitchell, Isabella Figueroa, Emmett Jung, Parker McGuffie, Blakelynn Hazelwood, Boone Hazelwood and Kreek Hazelwood; great-great grandchildren, Joshlyn Mayo and Laycee Tucker; siblings, Elizabeth Hicks and Shirley Abernathy; many nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly; and a special sister, Sandy Cooper Cody.

Those serving as pallbearers will be Angus Angelo Mickler, Jr., Jeremy Mitchell, Jerrod Mitchell, Blake McGuffie, Keenan Jung, and Devon Downs. Honorary pallbearers will be Wayne Recla and Noah Collins.


Mamie was a member of Alexandria Valley Church of God and loved her church and the Lord. She loved to sing, play the organ and guitar. She enjoyed fishing and writing. Most of all she loved her family and loved spending time with them. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother and will always be loved and forever be missed.
