<p>Gavin William Howitt, age 17, passed away on March 6th, 2024, surrounded by loved ones. He was a beloved son, brother, grandson, nephew, and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew him.</p><p><br></p><p>The world became brighter when Gavin William Howitt was born on June 02, 2006, in Grosse Pointe, Michigan. He spent most of his childhood in Fraser, Michigan before moving to their current home in Marion, Michigan where he attended Clare High School.</p><p><br></p><p>Gavin was known for his quick wit and endless appetite. He enjoyed exercising, playing the guitar, wrestling, and playing video games with his brothers. He loved hunting with his dad, watching shows with his mom, and playing board games with the family. But more than anything, Gavin was a wonderful young man who deeply enjoyed being around family and friends. He could always keep a room laughing with his bold statements and energetic personality. He loved deep meaningful talks, but also clever, lighthearted banter.</p><p><br></p><p>Gavin fought cancer bravely. Although he had many challenging days throughout his treatment, he touched the hearts of his care team, and considered them family. This is an example of the lasting impact Gavin had on everyone he met.</p><p><br></p><p>Gavin Howitt is survived by his adoring mother, Andrea Howitt, his loving father Sean Howitt, his twin brother Collin Howitt, and his older brother, Tristen Howitt.</p><p><br></p><p style="text-align: center;">To honor Gavin, an open house will be on Saturday March 9, 2024, at Infinity Hall and Sidebar, 16650 E. 14 Mile Road, from 7PM – 9PM.
