Ginny Lynn Cooley-Holcomb

Ginny Lynn Hood Cooley Holcomb, 67, of Connersville passed away Wednesday, March 6, 2024 at Majestic Care, Connersville.

One of five children of Ellis Elbert and Marylou McClellan Hood, Ginny was born in Fayette County, Indiana on November 19, 1956.

On July 9, 2016, Ginny married Johnny Ray Holcomb, the love of her life. Mr. Holcomb passed away on August 21, 2022.

Ginny held many secretarial jobs and was a former jail officer with the Fayette County Sherriff’s Department. In 1975, she became a beautician.

Ginny had a long and active involvement with the Order of the Eastern Star, Brookville Chapter 449, where she served as Past Worthy Matron, for more than two decades. She loved cooking delicious meals for her loved ones and had a knack for singing. She and her husband, John, often sang karaoke together and had a lot of fun with their friends.

Survivors include her mother, Marylou Hood; daughter, Amanda Bosstick; son-in-law, Jason Bosstick; granddaughter, Kylee Bosstick, soon to be grandson-in-law, Zach Irish; brothers, Scott Hood and Kenneth Joe Hood; special friend, Leola (Olie) Curtsinger; many nieces, nephews, cousins, and close friends.

Besides her husband, Johnny Holcomb, Ginny was preceded in death by her father, Ellis Hood; and two brothers, Larry Hood and Danny Hood.

Friends and family are invited to a graveside service at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, March 18, 2024 at Dale Cemetery. Reverend Bobby Lee will officiate the service and the Order of Eastern Star will provide graveside rites. Miller, Moster, Robbins Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
