Janet Alyce Davie

<p>Janet Alyce Davie was the proud daughter of Jeanetta Quinn, granddaughter to Lovon and Alex Shelton and step daughter to James Madison Quinn Sr of Baltimore, Maryland. She was born on August 16, 1958 in Cincinnati, Ohio and transitioned from this life in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania on March 6, 2024 after a brief illness. </p><p><br></p><p>She attended the Baltimore Public Schools and graduated from Northern High School in 1976. She exhibited an innate ability towards customer service and used that ability in a variety of disciplines including banking, retail sales, insurance, hotel services and the C&amp;P Telephone company. She even worked in youth development at the YWCA. </p><p><br></p><p>Janet was passionate about making sure that everyone she encountered had adequate insurance. That sensitivity to expanded insurance coverage was instrumental in affording her mother a high quality of care in her senior years. This was a testament to Janet's unwavering love and devotion to everyone she cared for. </p><p><br></p><p>Janet was married to Keith Davie on December 26, 1992 in Pittsburgh until her passing. She enjoyed cruising and was an enthusiastic reader like her mother. She was passionate about cooking and loved preparing large meals. She would often travel to Baltimore to spend time with family and close friends. She particularly enjoyed sharing a bushel of crabs with her special circle of girlfriends. </p><p><br></p><p>She leaves to cherish her memory: her husband, Keith Davie, her brother, James Madison Quinn Jr., sister-in-law Cynthia Quinn, nephew, James Christopher Quinn, a devoted lifetime friend, Dale Harp, in-laws; Willard Davie Jr., Gregory and Darleen Davie, nephew Adam Davie and a host of relatives and friends.</p>
