<p>James Leon Dillion, 81, of Atkins, passed away Tuesday, March 5, 2024, at the Atkins Nursing and Rehab Center in Atkins, Arkansas. He was born September 7, 1942, in DeWitt, son of the late Elmer Lee and Mary Lou Ray Dillion. He was a member and Deacon of the First Baptist Church of Atkins, and a lifelong horse enthusiast, outdoorsman and avid gardener. He was also a master domino player, family grill master, loyal friend, devoted husband, wonderful Dad, and all-around loving family man.</p><p><br></p><p>He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Nadine Dillion, Corine Dillion, Joy Pike, and Betty Lou Delancey; and brothers, Buddy Dillion, Bobby Dillion, and Billy Dillion.</p><p><br></p><p>He is survived by his wife, Rebecca “Ann” Dillion of Atkins; daughters, Melissa Dillion of Atkins, and Jennifer and husband Col. Derek Rachel of Offutt AFB, Nebraska; brother, Sidney Dillion and wife Brenda of DeWitt; and sisters, Mildred Clark and Nancy and husband Dwain Bivens, all of Hot Springs.</p><p><br></p><p>Memorial services will be held 2:00 PM, Saturday, March 9, at Atkins First Baptist Church with Bro. Zach Phillips, Bro. Ira Taylor, and Bro. Ferrel Duffel officiating under the direction of Lemley Funeral Service of Atkins. The family will receive friends one hour prior to services at the Church.</p><p><br></p><p>In lieu of flowers, memorials in his honor may be made to the American Cancer Society of Arkansas, the Arkansas Heart Hospital, to Hospice Home Care, or to CARTI.</p><p><br></p><p>Online obituary and condolences are available at www.lemleyfuneral.com.</p><p><br></p>
