<p>Fort Edward</p><p><br></p><p>Richard F. “Dick” Mercier, 83, passed away on Wednesday, March 6, 2024, at home with his loving family by his side.</p><p><br></p><p>Born on June 19, 1940, in Glens Falls, he was the son of the late Henry and Pauline (Gordon) Mercier.</p><p><br></p><p>On June 27, 1959, Dick married the love of his life, Carol Delsignore, at St. Joseph’s Church in Fort Edward. </p><p><br></p><p>Dick was the head custodian for St. Joseph’s Church and Catholic School. He was a long time employee for the Fort Edward Highway Department as the Highway Superintendent. Dick was able to retire in 2008.</p><p><br></p><p>He enjoyed watching the ocean, traveling, going to the casino and spending time with family.</p><p><br></p><p>In addition to his parents, Dick is predeceased his daughter, Peggy Mercier- Long,</p><p><br></p><p>Left to cherish his memory include his wife of 64 years, Carol; his children, Glenn (Sheila) Mercier, Linda (George Pulero) Fiorillo, Paul (Angela) Mercier, Randy (Mark Davis) Mercier; his grandchildren, Sarah Fiorillo, Michael (Katie) Fiorillo, Jennifer Fiorillo, Sonya Mercier, Noah Mercier, Bruce (Shannon) Long, Richard Mercier, Brandon (Will) Mercier, Paige (Alex) Mercier; his great grandchildren, Jasmine and Marcus Langlois, Jayden and Kash Mercier, Ellie and Maggie Long, Grayson and Dominick Fiorillo; his sisters, Marg Borlang, Pauline Mercier-Feyereisen; and several neices, nephews, and cousins.</p><p><br></p><p>The family would like to thank Michael Fiorillo for everything he did for the family. </p><p><br></p><p>At Dick’s request, there will be no calling hours. </p><p><br></p><p>Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.</p><p><br></p><p>Donations in Dick’s memory can be made to the St. Jude’s Children’s Researd Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.</p><p><br></p><p>Arrangements are in the care of the M.B. Kilmer Funeral Home, 82 Broadway, Fort Edward NY 12828.</p><p><br></p><p><br></p><p><br></p>

Richard F. “Dick” Mercier, 83, passed away on Wednesday, March 6, 2024, at home with his loving family by his side.
