William "Dale" McReynolds Obituary

Dale McReynolds, 94, Bucyrus, Kansas passed away Sunday, March 3, 2024 at Menorah Medical Center, Overland Park, Kansas.  Graveside service with Military Honors at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, March 16, 2024 at Bucyrus Cemetery, Bucyrus, Kansas. Condolences may be left at www.brucefuneralhome.com

Dale was born in Brownwood, Missouri on November 9, 1929 to Roosevelt “Ross” and Love Lorean (Hill) McReynolds. He graduated from Benton Harbor High School in Michigan.  Dale was a United States Army Veteran serving in Japan with the 9th Anti-Aircraft Artillery Battalion from 1954 to 1956. He was a Tool & Die maker for Gast Manufacturing in Benton Harbor, Michigan and then for Conmaco, Kansas City, Kansas.  Upon retirement he worked for Goode Feed, Stilwell, Kansas and Magnum, Hillsdale, Kansas until the age of 92.  Dale married Marcie Day Smith on November 5, 1949 in Benton Harbor, Michigan and were happily married for 67 years. He was a member of Assembly of God Church in Benton Harbor, Michigan and Louisburg, Kansas. He enjoyed playing senior citizen bingo weekly, spending time with family and friends and traveling.

Dale was preceded in death by his parents and wife Marcie in 2015. He is survived by his son David D. McReynolds of Michigan; daughter-in-law Melanie McReynolds Rose, Louisburg, Kansas; grandchildren Mallory Ann Cavender, Olathe, Kansas and David Arlen and wife Andi McReynolds, Louisburg, Kansas and great-grandchildren: Lucas, Logan and Landon Cavender, Olathe, Kansas, and three sisters: Wanda Durham, Cheryl Stewart, and Carol Sales.
