Obituary

Patricia “Patsy” Alice Harper (nee Leblanc)

April 17, 1958 – March 1 st , 2024

Patricia “Patsy” Alice Harper (nee Leblanc), passed away on March 1st 2024, at the age of 65.

With strength and dignity beyond compare, and the unwavering support of

her husband Kevin, Patsy was able to remain at home while battling cancer. She passed away in her home surrounded by her loved ones.

From east to west and back again, Patsy’s adventures brought her across Canada, calling New

Brunswick, Alberta, and Nova Scotia home.

Patsy grew up in Moncton, New Brunswick and moved out west as a young woman where she

met her husband. Together, they settled in the Rocky Mountains, raising a daughter and

cultivating a community of true friends and colleagues in Canmore, Alberta. Eventually they moved to Nova Scotia to be closer to family and enjoy their retirement years.

No matter where she went, Patsy could make friends with anyone. She truly cherished getting

to know people and hearing their story. She never missed an opportunity to lend a hand,

or an ear, to anyone in need. We know she will be remembered by many as a loyal friend with an endearing laugh and a big heart.

Whether tending to plants, pets or relationships, Patsy was a cultivator; someone who truly wanted to connect with everyone and everything around her. Her daily presence in our lives will be missed.

Patsy is survived by her husband Kevin Harper, daughter Amber Harper, sisters Arlene

Leblanc, Diane (Earl) Simpson and Marie Schell, as well as several nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her parents Arloa (nee Kervin) and Alfred Leblanc, and brothers Bobby and Freddy Leblanc.

Patsy’s family wishes to extend a heartfelt thank you to her team of healthcare providers, the Canadian Cancer Society, and the friends who stood by her with love and kindness in her time of need. A small celebration of life will be held at later date.
