Dalene Brewer

Dalene passed away in her sleep, at her home in Tulsa, Oklahoma on March 5, 2024.

She was born in Wichita, KS on October 13, 1959 to Dessie Marie (Huff) and Lloyd Dale Bellamy. She was the second child of that marriage. After moving to Oklahoma, she enjoyed taking roadtrips with her mom to visit her aunts & cousins still in Kansas. She moved with her family to Arkansas for a bit during her teen years, moving back to Oklahoma when her mom remarried in 1974.

As a young woman, she was always ready to go with her hair & makeup being done just to her liking.

Dalene changed her last name in the late 1970s when her step-dad Carl F. Brewer adopted her.

She would move to Tulsa in the 1980s, living there until returning to Claremore in 2000.

In 1995, she welcomed her only living child, a daughter named Lucy. She raised her daughter as a single mom, and although times were tough, she did the best she could for those she loved.

She was shy throughout her life, but remained close with her family and a few good friends. She loved crocheting, reading, sewing and garage sales.

She was an avid reader of Danielle Steele books, and a collector of angel figurines.

Dalene is survived by her daughter, Lucy Dawson, son in law, Jack Dawson, and 2 grandchildren, Olivia and Judah, of Claremore, Oklahoma, brothers Roger Brewer and Carl Brewer, of Norman, Oklahoma, several cousins, extended family, and family friends.

In departing this life she joined her mom, adopted dad, biological dad, older sister Rosa Hays, nephew Charles, great-nephew Damon, 2 angel babies, several aunts and uncles, best friend Linda, and many beloved pets.

Services will be held Friday March 29th at Rice Funeral Service Chapel of the Garden at 11.00am.
