Joan Catherine Bowen Delesantro, 88, of Pleasantville, NJ passed away March 4, 2024, at AtlantiCare Mainland Center from medical complications surrounded by loved-ones.

She was born in Pittsburgh, PA on October 22, 1935, and is survived by her brothers, Robert Altman and Joseph Altman, and 4 children: Joyce Renshaw, Patricia Renshaw, Robert Wesson (Dutch), and Barbara O’Brien. She is also survived by 8 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren, her niece and 2 nephews. Joan is predeceased by her 1st husband, Robert Bowen, her 2nd husband, Joseph Delesantro, her daughter, Catherine “Cat” Wesson, and her grandson, Michael Wesson.

She moved to New Jersey in 1957 and has primarily lived there ever since. Joan worked for Atlantic City Electric until retirement in 1996. Outside of church and work, she was very dedicated to family and loved them with all her heart. Joan was an active member of the church (Linwood Community Church and Beacon), choir, and book club for many years. She was extremely sociable with many lunches and outings with friends. As a charitable woman, Joan donated her time to many causes for the community through the church.

In lieu of flowers, Joan would prefer donation to be made to The Atlantic City Rescue Mission.
