Aline Rosalee Harris, 84, of Prue, OK passed away peacefully on Monday, March 4, 2024. She was born to John and Dora (Watkins) Winkler on Thursday, November 23, 1939 in Fort Gibson, OK. Aline grew up Stilwell (Adair Co. & Muskogee Co.) area. She attended school until the 3rd grade, then began working on the family farm. Aline grew up speaking Cherokee in the home. She was the last surviving sibling of 10 children.

Aline married and became a wife and mother. She married Obie Sparks on March 17, 1988. Aline spent many years as a homemaker taking care of her family. She worked outside of the home for the railroad doing construction, later retired from the railroad. Aline enjoyed sewing, quilting, gardening and reading. She loved her pets and loved walking barefoot in the country. Aline was very spirited and never gave up. She attended the Free Will Baptist Church. Most of all, Aline loved being a mom and grandmother and spending time with her family. She will be missed by all that loved and knew her.

Aline was preceded in death by her parents; husband Obie Sparks; son, James Fairland Caviness and step-son, Kevin Sparks.

She is lovingly survived by her daughters, Diane Wood of Beggs, OK; Georgia Nelson of Longtown, OK; Melba Edwards of Prue, OK; Cecilia Burris and her husband Paul of Prue, OK; Sarah Wokaty and her husband Michael of Quinton, OK; son, Bert Caviness of California; 25 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren. Aline is also survived by a host of nieces and nephews, other extended family and a lifetime of friends.

Graveside services for Aline will be 11:00am, Saturday, March 9, 2024, in Coleman Cemetery, Porum. John Melton, Dustin Melton, Paul Burris IV, James Wood, Dustin Wallace and Kevin Swafford, Jr. will serve as Casket Bearers. Kelly Walker, Clinton Rogers, Stephen Edwards, Michael Wood, Brandon Melton and Malcolm Warrior will serve as Honorary Casket Bearers.
