Irma Searcy
<p>Irma Searcy of Weston, Missouri, passed away Monday, March 4, 2024 at the Gower Convalescent Center in Gower, MO. Irma was born February 20, 1943, in Caguas, Puerto Rico to Enrique and Narcissa (Negron) Hernandez. She was a 1962 graduate of Imaculata High School in Leavenworth, Kansas. After high school, Irma married James Martin Searcy on April 20, 1963 in Leavenworth, Kansas. James passed away in 2017. Irma worked for McCormick Distilling Company for 32 years and retired in 2002. She loved to cook and was very amazing at it. She absolutely loved spending time with her grandchildren and Irma was a big fan of the Kansas City Royals and the Kansas City Chiefs and enjoyed rooting for and watching them both. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and her sister Alice Terron. Irma is survived by sisters; Norma Runnebaum of Lansing, Rosemary Cruz of El Cajon, CA, Gloria Spence of Leavenworth, KS. Children: Debbie Searcy of Weston, MO and Rick Searcy (Sheila) of Liberty, MO. Grandchildren Katelynn Searcy and Lucas Searcy of Liberty, MO. Private Graveside Services are scheduled for a later date at Graceland Cemetery, Weston, MO. In lieu of flowers, donations may made to The Alzheimer Association.
