Lola Michaelsen, 67, of Pacific Junction, IA passed away on Tuesday, March 5, 2024 at the Jennie Edmundson Hospital in Council Bluffs, IA. Graveside service will be held at a later date at the Martin Chapel Cemetery north of Pacific Junction. Loess Hills Funeral Home in Glenwood is caring for Lola and his family.

Memorials: In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to the family.

Lola Evelyn Janssen daughter of Edward Howard and Leanna Marie (Fisher) Janssen was born on December 3, 1956 in Rockford, IL.

Lola married Harry Junior Michaelsen on March 17, 1973 at Pacific Junction, IA. The couple was blessed with two sons, Jody and Adam.

Lola enjoyed camping, collecting owls, going to thrift stores and always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need, but most of all she had a heart of gold.

Lola is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Harry; sister Nancy Anglen; nephew Josey Janssen.

Lola is survived by her sons, Jody Michaelsen and his wife Malissa of Red Oak and Adam Michaelsen of Pacific Junction; 8 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; special friend Ken Booth; sister Lulu Truhlicka and husband Frank of Fargo, North Dakota, Caleb Janssen and wife Elida of Port Orange, Florida, Loyd Janssen and wife Brigitte of Florida, and Leonard Janssen and wife Tracey of Niceville, Florida; other relatives and host of many friends.
