Michael Joseph Paterak, age 70, of Russellville, Arkansas, died suddenly at home on Thursday, February 29, 2024.

He is preceded in death by his parents, the late William Paterak and Rita Paterak (Gregory/Orlosky).

Michael Paterak was born on December 23, 1953, in Cleveland, Ohio. He was a long time resident of Russellville. He took his career very seriously and was proud to share with everyone how he worked at a number of nuclear plants and retired from Arkansas Nuclear One. If there was one thing you immediately knew about him, he loved his family. He adored his most important role as “papa” to his two beautiful grandsons more than anything. He enjoyed spending time with his family, playing video games with his grandson, spending time with their dogs and granddogs, taking summer trips, RV’ing, going to the beach, watching old westerns on tv, working in the yard and most recently assisting with dog transports for local rescues and dogs in need.

He is survived by his beloved wife of forty-nine years, Karen Paterak (Kraus); Son Joseph Paterak; Daughter Jennifer Paterak; Daughter Jaclyn Paterak Dougan; Sister Linda Paterak; Grandsons, Pierce Paterak and Jalen Dougan, all of Russellville and numerous family and friends.

Memorial arrangements will be handled by Lemley Funeral Home of Atkins, Arkansas. Visitation will take place on March 12th, 2024 5:00 to 7:00 PM.
