<p>Maria Vigario</p><p>Devoted wife, mother, grandmother</p><p><br></p><p><br></p><p>Naugatuck, CT Maria Vigario, 82, wife of Antonio Vigario, died peacefully on March 3, 2024 at St. Mary’s Hospital.</p><p><br></p><p>Maria was born August 29, 1941 in Monte, Murtosa, Portugal a daughter of the late Antonio DaSilva and Laura Chipelo DaSilva and lived in Naugatuck for the past 53 years. Maria was a parishioner of Our Lady of Fatima Church and a member of the Clube Uniao Portuguesa Ladies Auxiliary. Maria was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and loved her family. </p><p><br></p><p>In addition to Antonio, her husband of 54 years, Maria is survived by her sons, Peter Vigario and Paul Vigario; her daughter in-law, Nedi Nazari; her beloved granddaughters, Ainara and Nyla Vigario; her brother, Jose Chipelo DaSilva; her sister, Antonia Chipelo DaSilva and her nieces, Natalia DaSilva and Rosa Holler; her nephews, Leon Silva and Jack Silva. </p><p><br></p><p>A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday, March 12, 2024 at 10:00am at Our Lady of Fatima Church, 2071 Baldwin Street, Waterbury, Everyone attending is kindly asked to please meet directly at church. Burial will be in Monte, Murtosa, Portugal. Calling hours are Monday, March 11, 2024 from 5:00 to 7:00pm at the Buckmiller Thurston Mengacci Funeral Home, 82 Fairview Avenue, Naugatuck. In lieu of flowers and to honor Maria’s memory, donations are requested to the Susan G. Komen Foundation at www.komen.org.</p>

Naugatuck, CT Maria Vigario, 82, wife of Antonio Vigario, died peacefully on March 3, 2024 at St. Mary’s Hospital.


Maria was born August 29, 1941 in Monte, Murtosa, Portugal a daughter of the late Antonio DaSilva and Laura Chipelo DaSilva and lived in Naugatuck for the past 53 years.
