<p>Sara Louise Lombardi nee. Bonanno, born in the Bronx, NY to Marietta (Lucarelli) Bonanno and Vincenzo Bonanno, Sr., passed away peacefully at home on March 3, 2024, surrounded by her family. She was 97 years young and lived a life full of love from her large family and long-time friends. Anyone who knew Sara knew that she lived for her family and absolutely adored her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She never worried about herself but always worried about everyone else and put everyone else's needs and well-being first. Sara never lost her spark and her wit, and she was cracking jokes til the end. She also had such great hair and skin, to the point where no one believed her age, and everyone would always ask what her secret was. She would just smile and laugh and think everyone was crazy or lying to her. But the secret was a loving family that kept her going.</p><p><br></p><p>Sara is predeceased by her husband Donald, her sisters Norma and Gloria, and her brother Vincent, Jr. Sara is survived by her three children: Denise DeGrace (Thomas Sr.), Donald Lombardi Sr. (Patricia), and Jean Lombardi (Lou); her five grandchildren: George Telesha, Adam Telesha (Clarissa), Brianne Lombardi, Donald Lombardi, Jr. (Maureen), and Thomas DeGrace, Jr. (Erin); her five great-grandchildren: Alexzandrea, Avery, Devyn, Lincoln, and Reese; her brother Robert Bonanno (Jennice); and her godson/nephew Anthony Nuvoloni, Jr. (Tina), and godson Phillip Badala, Jr. </p><p><br></p><p>Sara is forever in our hearts and in our lives. She will be greatly missed and never forgotten. We love you, always and forever.</p>
