Arlene Rolf, age 91 of Faribault, died on Sunday, March 3, 2024 at Faribault Senior Living.

Funeral services will be held at Trinity Lutheran Church, Faribault on Saturday, March 9, 2024 at 2 p.m. with the Reverend Peter Gueldner officiating. Interment will be at Meadow Ridge Memorial Park, Faribault.

Visitation will be at church for one hour prior to the service on Saturday.

Arlene, the daughter of Nels and Lydia (Bolstad) Reinertson, was born April 20, 1932 in Homestead, MT. She graduated from Oak Grove High School and Augsburg University with a Home Economics Degree in 1954, which she taught for a few years out of college. Arlene married Louis Rolf in August of 1957 and he preceded her in death on March 22, 2021. Arlene was an accomplished artist, whose work was exhibited widely and won awards in a variety of exhibitions, especially in fiber arts. Arlene was active in multiple arts organizations, including the Faribault Arts Center where she was a core member instrumental in the growth of the organization. She taught many community workshops, especially Batik dying classes. Arlene was also an active volunteer, board member, and visual arts coordinator at Trinity Lutheran Church for many years.

She is survived by her children, William Rolf of St. Paul, Karen Smith of Faribault and Steven (Jacky) Rolf of River Falls, WI; grandchildren, Nicholas (Erin)Smith, Nathan (Ana) Smith, Kasey (Jason) Lehmann, Kata (Paolo) Rolf, Noah Rolf, Conrad (Nina) Rolf, Nels Rolf, Christina Rolf, Hannes Rolf; great grandchildren, Theodore, Eloisa and Matthew and brother, Norman (Karen) Reinertson of Big Sandy, MT.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Louis; brothers, Reinold and Wendell Reinertson and sister, Genevieve Stark.

Memorials are preferred to Dakota Boys Ranch or Trinity Lutheran School, Faribault.
