<p>Ms. Michelle Wilkin Stewart of Newport, Arkansas, departed this life on Monday, March 4, 2024, at the age of 61. She was born July 3, 1962, in Memphis, Tennessee, the daughter of Robert “Bob” and Wanza L. (Hayes) Wilkin.</p><p><br></p><p> Ms. Stewart was a graduate of Heber Springs High School. She worked many years for Under the Rainbow daycare in Newport. Ms. Stewart enjoyed camping and cooking with her family.</p><p><br></p><p> She was preceded in death by her mother, Wanza Wilkin; and two brothers, Robert Wilkin, Jr., and Jeffery Edward Wilkin.</p><p><br></p><p> Ms. Stewart is survived by two children, Robby Stewart and wife, Amber of Newport, and Blair Shannon and husband, Michael of Newport; her father, Robert “Bob” Wilkin of Newport; four grandchildren, Emily Free and husband, Justin of Conway, Blaine Shannon, Lane Stewart, and Charlie Shannon, all of Newport; two great-grandchildren, Denver and Eliza Free; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.</p><p><br></p><p> Memorial services will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, March 9, 2024, at Jackson’s Newport Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Gary Elder officiating. Friends may visit at the funeral home Saturday, from 1:00 p.m. until service time.</p><p><br></p><p> Memorials may be made to the Arkansas State Police Foundation, P.O.
