Obituary

Willie Irving Randall, Sr. was born on April 10, 1943 to the late Buster William Randall and Berbenna Randall in Pungoteague, Virginia. While he loved Pungoteague, he never missed an opportunity to travel to and spend time in New Kent County, Virginia, where the Randall family had its roots. He departed this life peacefully on March 2, 2024 at Shore Health and Rehabilitation Center in Parksley, Virginia.

Willie attended Accomack County Public Schools and graduated from Mary N Smith High School in 1962. He started his career at a young age, working with his father who owned a pulp wood company that provided pulp for papermaking. He then worked in several different areas related to forestry. That led to him becoming a majority owner of Ran-Kel, Inc., a heavy construction company. He sold the company and retired to care for his father. After his father’s passing, he decided on a career in real estate. He would often point out special projects he completed on the Eastern Shore, such as building the launch pad for Wallops Island. He also owned multiple properties on his beloved Eastern Shore as part of his real estate portfolio. He was proud of all of his professional accomplishments.

Willie accepted Christ as his Savior at a young age and was an active member of Herbert Baptist Church in Wachapreague, Virginia. He loved to study the Bible and have passionate conversations about the Word. He also was a faithful financial supporter of the Food Bank of Southeastern Virginia and the Eastern Shore for over thirty years.

In 1995, he married the former Diane Bagwell. Their union was blessed with twenty-nine years of marital bliss.
