<p><br></p><p><br></p><p><br></p><p><br></p><p>Jeremy Richard Mendenhall, 41, of Council Hill, passed away in Muskogee, on Thursday, February 29, 2024. He was born on Thursday, June 24, 1982 to Jerry Mendenhall and Tammy (Markham) Voigt in Muskogee. Jeremy grew up in Council Hill and attended Checotah Schools. After high school, he attended truck driving school.</p><p>Jeremy married Amanda Huggins on June 1, 2007 in Muskogee. He drove trucks for two years and worked as a fork-lift operator and later a supervisor. Jeremy also helped his step-dad and son with farming. He enjoyed fishing and hunting. Jeremy loved hanging out with Jeremyah and his fur baby Izzy. He was saved at a young age in Immanuel Baptist Church. Jeremy will be missed by all that loved and knew him.</p><p>He was preceded in death by his dad, Jerry Mendenhall; daughter, Gracie Mendenhall; grandmother, Kathryn Stevens; grandpa, Jesse Mendenhall; and his uncle, Ron Basden.</p><p>Jeremy is lovingly survived by his wife Amanda Mendenhall of the home; his children, Jesilyn Mendenhall, Jeremyah Mendenhall, Mattew Huggins and Seth Page; his mom, Tammy and step-dad, James Voigt of Council Hill; sisters, Amy Weber and her husband John; Kasie Mendenhall; and Janie Mendenhall; step-brothers, Carey Voigt and his wife Dani; Michael Voigt and his wife Tricia. He is also survived by other extended family and a lifetime of friends.</p><p><br></p><p>Viewing will be 12pm-4pm, Wednesday, March 6, 2024 and 9am-4pm, Thursday, March 7, 2024 at Garrett Family Funeral Home Checotah. Services will be held, 1pm, Friday, March 8, 2024 at First Baptist Church Porum, with Reverend Rick LaBounty ministering. Committal prayers and interment to follow in Fields Cemetery in Porum, under the personal direction of John Garrett. Serving as Casket Bearers are Daron Casey, Derek Park, Mark Aldridge, Marty Hyatt, Wally Frost and Joe Hays.
