Daniel (Danny) F. Kleckowski, 88, transitioned peacefully to be home with the Lord on Friday, February 23, 2024. Besides his wife, Louise (Vigneault) and his former wife, Beverly (Dionne)Talbot, he leaves his children, Deborah and Tom Hibbard, Gailyn and Sergio Gonzalez, Brenda and Ted Martinez and two stepchildren Ann Baker and Kevin (Katie) Baker. He was predeceased by his daughter Lori Anne. He was predeceased by his parents Bruno and Ida (Cyranowicz) Kleczkowski, sisters, Adele Sennik and Sally Oszurek and brothers, Bruno, Stanley, Al, Steve, John, and George (Ted). He also leaves behind his beloved 11 grandchildren, a great-grandson and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was a Cold War Veteran serving 6 years in the US Army. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus (Council 3), Council War Veterans the Army National Guard.

He worked for Sears for 35 years. He loved capturing life’s events on his video recorder. An avid baseball fan, he loved his St. Louis Cardinals! He enjoyed UCONN Huskies women basketball. He was active in the Canton and Burlington Senior Clubs.

Dan had a great sense of humor, and was referred to as the pied piper of kids and adults alike, making friends wherever he went. He was a devote catholic, and proud of his Polish heritage.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, March 7th, at the Church of Saint Ann, 289 Arch Road in Avon. Visitation will be at 10:00 am followed by Mass at 11:00 am. A burial will be held in the spring at the Veteran’s Cemetery. In lieu of flowers contributions may be sent to the Greater Middletown Military Museum 200 Walnut Grove Road Middletown, CT 06457.
