Richard M. Maher, age 62 of Vernon, passed away peacefully on Friday, March 1st, 2024, at his home with his loving wife by his side.

Born in Brooklyn to the late Donald and Elizabeth (Yard) Maher, Rich grew up in Paramus before settling in Vernon thirty-two years ago. Rich was a veteran of the US Army, where he served as a military police officer. Rich worked as a truck driver for F.W. Webb Company in Vernon. He was also an avid Jets fan and loved his motorcycles, gardening, fishing, and bird watching.

Predeceased by his parents and a brother, Donald Maher, Rich is survived by his loving wife, Donna Marie (Guglielmo) Maher, brothers Brian Maher, Patrick Maher, Ken Maher and his wife Karen, along with nephews Dylan and Christopher Maher and sister-in-law Theresa Ciavolella.

A visitation for Rich will be held on Friday, March 8th, 2024, 4-8PM at the Ferguson—Vernon Funeral Home (One Vanderhoof Court for GPS), 241 Route 94, Vernon, NJ 07462. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 9th, at 1PM, also at the funeral home.
