<p>Jerry L. Jones, 58, of Halfmoon, NY, passed away Thursday February 29, 2024 at Saratoga Hospital after a brief and courageous battle with cancer. Born in Malone, NY he was the son of Raymond Jones and the late Marcella Jarvis Jones. He graduated from Franklin Academy in 1983 and later graduated college in 1985.</p><p><br></p><p>Jerry has been employed for the past 24 years at Gross Electric Inc. located in Queensbury, NY. He was a proud member of IBEW Local 236.</p><p><br></p><p>Jerry had many passions, from cherishing moments with his family to engaging in activities such as hunting, fishing, boating, playing pool, bowling, and traveling to avidly support his beloved Syracuse football and basketball teams. He also dedicated countless hours of his time to coaching baseball and softball for his children.</p><p><br></p><p>In addition to his father he is survived by his loving wife of 28 years, Sandra Bodynski Jones and his loving children, Brandon Jones (Emma), Kayla Jones, and his canine companion Reggie of Halfmoon, NY. He is the brother of Yvonne Jones and uncle of Madison Veeder-Jones of Kingston, NY. He is the son in law of Shirley Bodynski and brother in law of Raymond and Steven Bodynski all of Schenectady, NY. Also surviving are several aunts, uncles and cousins, his longtime friend and “brother” Scott Towne of Cohoes, NY as well as his friends at Gross Electric. </p><p><br></p><p>Calling hours will be held for relatives and friends on Friday March 8, 2024 from 10:00am-12:00pm at the Philip J. Brendese Funeral Home, 133 Broad St., Waterford, NY and a mass will be held following at 12:30pm at St. Mary of the Assumption Church, in Waterford, NY.</p><p><br></p><p>In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Jerry’s name to the American Diabetes Assoc., P.O. Box 7023 Merrifield, VA 22116-7023.</p>
